OCIA is an international farmer-owned and operated organic certifying organization that shares a deep commitment to environmentally-friendly food production and processing methods.

All Avalon Organic Coffee is grown without fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or other chemicals. The quality of the soil is maintained, the farmers are not exposed to toxic chemicals, and you get the best, healthiest coffee nature has to offer. Furthermore, our organic coffees are shade-grown, protecting the more than 150 species of migratory birds that flock to coffee growing regions each year. The shade trees also yield other agricultural products that generate important additional income for coffee farmers.

We don’t sacrifice social responsibility for taste. We purchase only the highest grades of organic coffee and roast it to order in small batches, for maximum quality control.
